Thus, Highland Park in a place for entertainment for both the community of the boroughs of Brooklyn and Q unseen . ISSUES Some of the issues the community faces in Highland Park are their a road between the parks , nasty restrooms the lack of water fountains and needs a football and golf court .The road between the park is Highland Blvd . The road between the parks causes a safety problem for children even though there a crosswalk and a traffic light . Because many children or teens cross the road without looking for any car is coming or looking whether the traffic light is red or green observation). Another issues is the bathrooms their nasty and most of the times the bathrooms lacks of toilet paper and the water is usually cold only (interview). To add on , there only one bathroom for ladies and gentlemen in Upper Highland and one in Lower Highland (observation). In addition, there is not enough water fountains in Upper Highland . Highland park also needs a football and golf court (interview) . People usually play football in Upper Highland and golf too but there is not any courts even though there is plenty of space in upper Highland for a golf and football court observation). According to some parents , there is a need of a pool or more sprinklers for summer . Another issue is that there is not any food court only vendor in motorcycle or bicycles . There is no any guarantee that the food or beverages are safe or good quality and the local deli is five blocks away from the entrance of the park (observations).A problem with the playground for older children is there is no sprinkler thats an issue in summer (observation) . In that case the older kids will head over to the little childrens playground and the e sprinkler will get crowded or o the skateboard court where there is sprinkler too which becomes and issue to the people that are skateboarding (interview). Thus, the some issues there some issues the community of Highland faces. SOLUTION Improvements that should be made to the park are food court , pool and t he construction of sprinkler in the playground for older children .Yes , there is sprinkler but the summer in New York are really hot there a need of a pool . Since there is space in Upper Highland there should construct a pool. A major improvement in the park can be the closure of Highland Blvd for the safety of the people in the community when walking from Lower t o upper Highland . An option for the same problem of the road can e placing a crosswalk guard in summer mostly because many people only go to Upper Highland on Summer not winter (observations) . An answer to the problem of the lack of water fountains is placing more water fountains. A solution for the people that play football and golf in upper Highland is constructing a golf and football court . Some teens that are skateboard lover suggest to improvement for the skateboard court because the ramps are too easy there is not a space where to try more difficult stunts and tricks . Thus those are some solution to the problems the community faces in Highland park. CONCLUSION To conclude , Highland is a wonderful park located in East New York thats divided into two Upper and Lower Highland . The park borders with the Jackie Robinson parkway .Highland is visited by both people from Brooklyn and Queens . The political takeover that swept through India began in Bengal with the Battle of the Plassey. Within the next hundred years, the gradual inundation of the subcontinent was completed. As power was established by the British, so did the resentment. Until the British interfered with their lives, the people of India were almost entirely self-sufficient. People who were once independent were forced into bondage. Britain exploited the citizens of India by means of cotton. The Indians raised the cotton and shipped it to Britain. In Britain, the aforementioned cotton was turned into textiles and shipped back to India to be sold at an inflated price. The previously self-sufficient people were forced to buy expensive clothes because they no longer had the time to make their own. In addition to this injustice, upon arriving in India the British saw the need for indigo farms. When they hired locals they forced them to sign exclusive contracts. They were not allowed to quit, and they paid rent with the indigo sold. As the British monopoly on cotton continued, the majority of the people bought their clothing from Britain; this prevented the indigo farmers from having any kind of product market. There was no demand, but they were forced to continue supplying. People were starving, and it was all Britain's fault. They talk about how our solutions for our environmental problems, such as recycling, are basically just a band-aid fix for broken bone. They discuss the negative effects that our daily lives have on our environment and offer some solutions of their own to help counteract the problem as much as possible, even the book Cradle to Cradle is printed on eco-friendly paper that does not use trees. In this book McDonough and Braungart urge its readers to take our environment into account and look for better solutions to our global environmental problems then the ones that we have been settling for for the last half-century. In this book McDonough and Braungart identify two major problems with the way that we live that negatively affects our environment. The first is the problem of t hrowing things away, because in fact when we throw things away, they do not just go away. The things that we throw out stay here on our Earth, soiling our precious and finite earth and affect its well-being. The second problem that they discuss the the harmful product that are used, which not only have negative impacts on our planet, but also on ourselves. In this book the authors urge us to learn from nature through bio-mimicry, an effort to design buildings like trees, cities like forests. They also challenge us to look at ants and the role they play in the world and their self-sustaining way of life and to learn from them. Ants are able to inhabit a diverse a range of environments, are able to hunt, scavenge, and grow their own food, build their homes, effectively handle their wastes, create powerful medicines, and produce biological and chemical weapons, all the while contributing to the health of the natural world. We live on this earth less-effectively than ants and should look to their way of living as a role model for how we as humans live on this earth. McDonough and Braungart offer some of their own suggestions for way that we can live effectively with the Earth in mind, such as rooftops covered with soil and plants that serve as natural insulation, non toxic dyes and fabrics, their current overhaul of Ford’s legendary River Rouge factory, and even the book itself, which is printed on a synthetic paper that does not use trees. While creating an ultimate solution to our environmental problem is a very involved and complicated ordeal, McDonough and Braungart do offer some simple solutions to help cut down on the harm we are causing our planet. One things that we can do is to cut out all chemicals and substances that are harmful and destructive both to humans as well as the environment. Also they discuss how we must abandon our current cradle to grave way of thinking and adopt a cradle to cradle way of thinking, meaning that we need to consider where the products and its packaging will end up after we are finished with it. When creating a product we need to begin to understand and think about where it will end up after the consumer is done with it. We must think about how our waste can be reused in order to cut back on unnecessary waste and contamination of our planet. McDonough and Braungart in this book urge us to start looking at our wasteful ways and see how it is harming our own selves as well as the environment and see that we must adopt a cradle to cradle way of thinking in order to save our planet and use the finite resources we have in a smart and truly eco friendly way. After reading this book I examined the wasteful way in which I live my own life, and when I think about how I live and times that by 6,973,738,433, it’s hard to fathom how much damage we must be doing to our planet. Our resource, clean air and precious earth are limited but humans are consumers and don’t consider much past our own immediate wants and needs.
